Can we talk about how blueprint reading has gotten worse over the last 5 years?

I don't know if it's just me getting old or what, but I swear the drawings coming out of some of these engineering firms are getting sloppier. Back in 2018 I was on a big boiler install outside of Nashville, and the blueprints were clean as a whistle. Now I'm getting sheets where dimensions don't even match between the plan view and the section view. Had to call the engineer three times last month just to sort out a pipe routing that was drawn wrong. Anyone else seeing this drop in quality or is it just the jobs I'm landing?

Call the firm's drafting lead direct instead of the engineer, they usually catch these mismatches faster.
