A veteran in Tulsa showed me a trick with a 3/8-inch punch for stubborn gasket alignment

He tapped the bolt holes from the backside to shift the gasket just enough, saving us an hour on a feedwater heater job last Thursday, what's your go-to trick for lining up those finicky gaskets?

That punch trick is a lifesaver. A little grease on the gasket face lets you slide it into place without tearing.

What kind of grease works best for that, @william_henderson?
