The Saturday my game group fell apart over a $60 dice tower

Last month I hosted my usual Saturday session and brought out a new dice tower I grabbed at a local shop in Portland. Half the table loved it, said it added drama to every roll, but two guys refused to use it because they claimed it was rigged after three bad rolls in a row. We spent an hour arguing about whether the physics of a wooden tower can actually favor certain numbers, and by the end nobody wanted to play anything. Has anyone else had a game night derailed by a silly accessory, or am I the only one whose group treats dice towers like they're a political issue?
