The Saturday my game group fell apart over a $60 dice tower
Last month I hosted my usual Saturday session and brought out a new dice tower I grabbed at a local shop in Portland. Half the table loved it, said it added drama to every roll, but two guys refused to use it because they claimed it was rigged after three bad rolls in a row. We spent an hour arguing about whether the physics of a wooden tower can actually favor certain numbers, and by the end nobody wanted to play anything. Has anyone else had a game night derailed by a silly accessory, or am I the only one whose group treats dice towers like they're a political issue?

Wait, people actually think a dice tower can be rigged? That part is blowing my mind. I mean, it's a wooden tower, the dice fall down some little steps and come out the bottom, how would it even know which numbers to give you? Three bad rolls in a row is just normal dice stuff, that happens with plain rolling on a table too. So two guys turned a fun accessory into a full hour of arguing and killed the whole night for everyone? Honestly that sounds more like they were already upset about losing and needed something to blame. Sorry your Saturday got wrecked like that, that is a wild reason for a game group to fall apart.
