The $15 Amazon dice tray that changed my game nights

I always figured dice trays were a waste of money, but my buddy brought one to our last Catan session and I ate my words. The felt lining actually stopped the dice from bouncing off the table and knocking over everyone's settlements. For 15 bucks it saved us from at least three arguments that night. Has anyone else found a cheap accessory that quietly fixed a big annoyance?

oh man, you are so right about this. i was exactly the same way, thought dice trays were just one more thing to clutter up the shelf. but then my friend brought one to a game of Ticket to Ride and i swear the difference was night and day. the dice would always land on the table and knock over the little trains, and we'd have to spend five minutes trying to remember where everything was. that little piece of felt just changed everything, it really did. it's funny how the little things can save a whole night of fun.

@margaret_williams5 totally get that, my cat knocked over a Yahtzee game once and the dice tray would have saved us both.
