Talked to a fellow player about rule lawyering, changed my approach

Last Tuesday at our local meetup in Austin, a guy named Dave said I was too strict about enforcing turn order in our weekly Agricola game. He told me the fun is in the table talk, not the rulebook, and that hit different because weve played together for 2 years. Do you bend rules to keep the group happy or stick to the letter every time?
