Showerthought: My epic drink spill that killed the game vibe
I was hosting a game night and somehow managed to knock a full glass of juice onto our Settlers of Catan board. The resource cards were soaked, and the board warped almost instantly. My friends just looked at me like I'd set the place on fire. It hit me that one dumb move can turn a fun night into a cleanup job. Now I'm super strict about using lids or keeping drinks way off the table.

You think Mary hasn't seen a thirsty piece of cardboard before? I watched a single beer bottle sweat a ring into my friend's Ticket to Ride board so bad it looked like a tiny mountain range. The plastic train pieces were sliding all over the place. We had to stop the game because the routes were unplayable. Now I enforce a drinks-on-the-floor policy, no exceptions.
