Saw something wild at the local library's board game night
They had a whole shelf of games marked 'For Geeks Only' with a sign saying 'No casual players, please.' It felt kinda gatekeepy, but the organizer said it was to keep the heavy strategy games from being messed up by new people. What do you think, is that a good way to protect games or just plain rude?

That "heavy strategy games" line is funny. I watched a guy at a con have a full meltdown because someone touched his unpainted Warhammer figures. Some people just take their plastic way too seriously.
