Pro tip: heavy games don't always mean more choices, and my Tuesday group keeps missing it
We played a 4 hour game at Dave's place in Beaverton last week and two guys kept saying they had nothing to do on their turns. I counted 3 real choices per turn and 20 minutes of waiting, so the size of the box was fooling them. Back in 2012 our group ran lighter games and everyone stayed busy the whole night, and I think the weight label on the box is what's throwing people off. It's not about how many cards or how thick the rulebook is, it's about whether your turn actually matters. How do you all decide if a big game is worth the table time before you buy it?
