Overheard a guy at the comic shop say 'I just sleeve everything' and it hit me

This dude at my local shop in Portland said he sleeves every single card he owns, even duplicates from starter decks. After 2 years of tossing mine in a box raw, I just checked and found $30 worth of scuffed up rares. Do you guys sleeve commons too, or is that overkill?

Walked into my living room one time and found my cat chewing on a corner of a foil card. Now I sleeve everything, even basic lands.

ngl i used to think people who sleeved basics were extra but then my dog drooled on a foil island and now i get it lmao
