My copy of Terraforming Mars just fell apart mid-game last night

We were about two hours into a four player game when the main board split right down the middle along the fold. It was the older edition with the thinner stock. I tried some clear packing tape on the back as a quick fix, but it looks pretty rough now. I'm kind of bummed because that game has seen probably fifty sessions. Has anyone had good luck getting a replacement board directly from the publisher, or should I just hunt for a used copy of the new version?

Oh man, that's the worst kind of board game betrayal. At least it waited until you were invested, I guess? My friend's copy did that, and now his board is more tape than cardboard.

Ever think about just framing the broken board? Like, that split down the middle is a battle scar from all those games. You could hang it up as art and then get the new edition to actually play. It's a way better story than a taped-up board that just feels sad to use.

That "more tape than cardboard" line is exactly what happened to my buddy's copy. He tried the same quick fix and it just made the board all wobbly and sad. He ended up emailing the publisher and they sent him a new one for just the cost of shipping.
