My buddy said board game geeks who only play heavy Euros are boring, and I'm not sure he's wrong
Sat down with my friend Dave at his place in Cleveland last week and he goes, "Man, every board game meetup I join turns into a 3 hour rules dump and nobody talks." He's been gaming for 10 years and just quit his weekly group because the guy running it spent 45 minutes explaining a single rulebook. I keep telling myself he just needs a better group, but honestly, is there a real problem with how heavy gamers treat new players or is Dave just picking the wrong crowd?
