Met a guy at a con who organizes his games by player count, not theme
He said 'Themes are for reading, counts are for playing' while setting up a 4-player slot. Has anyone else seen a system that actually works better?

My buddy's game night host does this, and honestly, it cuts out the whole "how many showed up" panic. We just grab from the right shelf and start playing.

Honestly that system works, but seth683's host has the right idea for actually getting games to the table fast.

My friend's host has a whole wall with labeled shelves for 2, 3, 4, and 5+ players. You walk in, count heads, and pull a game from that shelf. No more digging through boxes for 20 minutes trying to remember player counts. Last time, we had five people and grabbed "Cosmic Encounter" right off the five-player shelf. We were setting up before the last guy even got his coat off. It just makes the whole night flow better.
