Dropped $120 on a deluxe insert organizer and it was a total dud

I got that Folded Space insert for Terraforming Mars last month thinking it would cut setup time in half. The foam board is too tight and I ended up tearing one of the player boards trying to squeeze it in. Spent an hour sanding edges just to make it fit. Has anyone else had luck with a different organizer for this game?

Yeah, "total dud" is a bit dramatic. $120 for a nice storage solution that just needs a little work sounds pretty standard. You got a premium product, it's gonna be tight. That's how foam board works, it holds everything snug. You didn't ruin the game, you just had to do a tiny bit of DIY. Sounds like you got your money's worth if it's custom fit after the sanding.

Nah, I gotta disagree a little bit. $120 for something that needs sanding right out of the box feels more like a rough draft than a premium product. You don't buy a new car and then have to file down the edges of the door to get it to close right, you know? It's not really "custom fit" when you have to do the fitting yourself... that's just finishing the job they forgot to do. I get that foam board is snug, but there's a difference between snug and "I need to break out tools to make this work.
