I was talking to a potential client about a wrought iron gate. He seemed shocked when I gave him the timeline and price. Do you all get this a lot from people who don't understand metalwork?

My brother-in-law waited 12 weeks for his custom staircase railing. Janac22, overnight would have been a miracle.

Seriously, read a thing last week. Guy thought a custom metal railing was like buying a shelf. From a big store. Just grab it and go. They don't get the measuring, the bending, the welding. Every single piece is made for that one spot. It's not a widget.
