Just realized I had to pick between a coal forge and propane for my shop setup

I spent three weeks going back and forth on this. Went with propane because my landlord said no to the smoke and sparks from coal. First fire-up was last Saturday and the regulator gave me trouble at first, but once I dialed it in I got a nice even heat. Anyone else have to switch their fuel source for space reasons? How'd you adapt?

Honestly I think my neighbor probably thinks I'm running some kind of underground operation out of my garage with how quiet I try to be lmao. I'm the type to tiptoe past my own doorbell just to avoid making noise. Last week I literally waved at my mailman through the window instead of opening the door to grab my package because I didn't want to deal with small talk.
