Cleaned out my coal bin today and found I've burned exactly 2 tons this year.

I keep a simple tally on the wall for each bag I empty. When I added it up, the total was 4,000 pounds. That's a lot more than I thought I was using for my small shop. It made me look at my forge efficiency and air flow setup. Anyone else track their fuel use and find a number that made them change things up?

4,000 pounds" is a crazy number to see written down. That would definitely make me check my setup too.

Wow, seeing that total written out must have been a real shock. I mean, you just do the daily task and don't think about it adding up like that. It makes total sense you'd want to check your whole setup after a number that big. I'd probably be doing the exact same thing, just staring at the wall and rethinking everything.
