Warning: The 8 episode mini series I binged Sunday lost a huge arc launch

I cleared a whole Sunday for that new spy thriller on Hulu, 8 episodes back to back. The final scene teed up a massive plot twist, then the credits rolled, and I found out season 2 isn't even greenlit yet. Anyone else get burned by a cliffhanger that might never pay off?

Man, that reminds me of when I finished the first season of that alien show on Netflix a few years back. It ended with the whole planet getting evacuated and then just cut to black, and I sat there staring at my TV for like ten minutes waiting for something else. Turns out the show got cancelled and the creator posted the rest of the story as a weird podcast, which I never listened to. So yeah, that Sunday hangover is real, and it hurts worse when you know the payoff might just never come.
