Unpopular opinion: watching shows at 1.25x speed ruined my reading of slow scenes
Last month I was three episodes into a crime drama on Netflix and kept getting annoyed that nothing was happening. Then my roommate sat down, saw the playback speed bar, and said "dude, why is this going so fast?" I had left it on 1.25x from some podcast thing months ago and never noticed. Rewatched the first episode at normal speed and caught like four things I had missed, the show is actually paced pretty well. Now I'm wondering what else I sleepwalked through at faster speed, so how do you all handle the temptation to speed up slow burns?
