That 2am The Wire binge that made me quit my night shift job

Last month I worked graveyard at a 7-Eleven off I-35 in Austin. Around 2am, no customers, so I threw on The Wire for the first time. By episode 4 of season 1, I realized I was more invested in Stringer Bell's business moves than my actual job. I put in my two weeks the next day, and now I'm halfway through season 3 while job hunting. Has anyone else had a show mess with their work schedule that hard?

Gotta say that show hits different when you're stuck somewhere boring, I feel you on that. I once watched all of Breaking Bad during my lunch breaks at a warehouse and started timing my forklift routes like Jesse cooked meth, totally lost the plot. Now I can't even look at pallets without hearing "Yeah, Mr. White!" in my head, good luck with the job hunt though, at least you got great TV to keep you company.
