Started watching 'The Wire' after 15 years of people telling me to, and I get why they waited
I finally gave in last month and started that show everyone my age has been raving about since 2002. Three episodes in and I realized I had to restart it because I missed half the dialogue and plot points the first time. Has anyone else had to rewatch a classic show because you weren't paying close enough attention the first go-round?

Nah, I actually think having to restart a show is proof it’s not that good. If the dialogue and plot are so dense you can’t follow it on a first watch, that’s bad writing, not deep storytelling. The Wire gets praised like it’s impossible to miss a single line, but a show that actually works makes you get everything the first time and still want more.

Is this the same thing where people @riley_taylor act like reading the instructions is a sign of weakness?
