Picked Dark over Stranger Things for a weekend binge and I'm hooked
Was stuck between rewatching Stranger Things or finally starting Dark on Netflix. Chose Dark because I heard the timeline stuff is wild. Three episodes in and I've already had to pull up a family tree chart on my phone.

Did you try the official Dark website timeline too? lol The family tree gets even more twisted by episode 6, I had to start keeping notes in my phone to track who is who.

What gets me is nobody talks about how the Doppler effect ties into the whole time travel mess, like the characters are literally echoes of each other across decades. The show practically screams that every family tree is just a feedback loop where actions ripple forward and backward at the same time. If you map out the surnames by episode, you'll notice the same names keep popping up in different eras like sound waves bouncing off a wall.

Exactly what helped me was keeping that family tree pulled up on my phone the whole time, I had to pause and trace who was who constantly. And yeah @sage_ramirez42 you're right about that Doppler effect thing, once I realized how the surnames repeat it clicked why people say the show is basically one giant echo chamber. Definitely stick with it, by episode 6 you'll be glad you started taking notes.
