Can we talk about that $150 streaming box I bought last month...
I was dead set on getting the top tier streaming device for my living room because I thought it would make everything load faster. Dropped $150 on it and honestly, it's just okay... not much different from the $40 stick I had before. What really convinced me I wasted the money was when my buddy brought over his cheap one from Walmart and we couldn't tell which was which during a movie night. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should return it or just accept I got burned. Has anyone else regretted going for the pricey option instead of the basic model?

What gets me about these high end streaming boxes is how they lock you into their ecosystem. I bought a nice one a few years ago and found out the hard way it wouldn't play nice with my older soundbar. Had to mess with settings every single time I wanted audio through the speakers. The cheap stick plugged right in and worked with everything. Sometimes spending less actually gives you more freedom to use whatever gear you already own.
