Binged all 6 seasons in 4 days and now I'm mad at my friend

My buddy told me to skip season 3 of The Expanse because it 'picks up later,' but I watched it anyway and that's where the whole protomolecule saga clicked for me. I wasted 2 days being confused about the plot because I trusted his shortcut advice, and now I'm wondering if I should rewatch the first two seasons with fresh eyes or just move on to a totally different show? Anyone else ever gotten bad skip-advice that wrecked a binge for them?
