Binged 14 episodes of a 9-season show before realizing it got cancelled mid-arc

I burned 3 nights on 'The Event' thinking it was a hidden gem, turns out it ends on a cliffhanger with zero closure. Is the journey worth it if the destination is a dead end, or is a cancelled show still binge-worthy if the ride is good?

Damn, I used to be all about the journey over the ending too. I defended shows like 'Firefly' for years, saying the episodes we got were worth it. Then I watched 'The 4400' and it just stops dead with zero answers, and it honestly made me feel like I wasted my time. Now I check if something's cancelled before I even start, because that crap stings way too much. A good ride only gets you so far when you're left staring at a brick wall.
