Appreciation post: A slow-paced series grabbed me when I was sick
I always skipped shows with lots of talking, thinking they were boring. Stuck in bed, I tried one and got totally wrapped up in the characters. Has a show you ignored ever become your go-to binge?

You skipped all talky shows before? That's actually crazy. I was the same until I got bored and tried a political drama. The conversations pulled me in way more than action scenes ever did. Getting sick forces you to slow down and notice the details. Now I bet you're searching for more shows like that.

lol that "getting sick" slowdown is real, happens in daily life too when you're forced to pause.

Totally get this, it's like your brain finally has the free space to pay attention. What @chen.casey said about noticing the details is so true. I did the same thing with a show about people restoring old houses, all calm talking and no drama, and now I'm hooked on that whole vibe. Being forced to slow down makes you appreciate a different kind of storytelling for sure.
