Why does nobody talk about how one bad TikTok comment changed my whole posting strategy

I was at a BBQ place in Austin last June when a guy at the next table recognized me from a video I did on homemade fence gates. He said my content was too polished and boring, and that really got under my skin. So I switched to raw, unedited clips and my engagement jumped 40% in two weeks. But now I'm wondering if the polished stuff actually builds more trust long term. Has anyone else had a random stranger's opinion completely flip their approach?

Read an article saying raw clips feel more authentic to the algorithm right now.

Didn't my friend just film a raw video on her phone and it blew up for no reason lol?
