Warning: viral audience maps are not the goldmine they claim to be
I dropped $180 on one of those audience breakdown tools after a creator I follow swore it revealed hidden niches. The data looked legit, but when I cross-referenced the 5k follower overlap against actual engagement in Oklahoma City, the numbers said engagement should be double what it was. Turns out the tool was pulling stale profile data from 8 months ago, and the creator was getting paid to promote it. Has anyone else caught a promo tool being straight up wrong, or did I just hit a bad batch?

Man, that's the same play everywhere now. People trust a familiar face more than they trust their own gut, so the pitch works every time. It's like buying a used car from a friend who swears it's mint, then finding out the odometer was rolled back last Tuesday. You got burned, but at least now you know the drill.
