Tried posting a video at 5am on a Tuesday just to test the algorithm
I usually post at peak times like noon or 7pm, but last week I threw up a 30 second clip of me organizing my desk at 5 in the morning. It got 12k views in 4 hours while my normal posts struggle to hit 2k. Anyone else had luck with weird posting times?

Wait, have you tried posting at like 3am on a Sunday? I did that once by accident and it was weird how much engagement I got. The algo seems to reward people who post when nobody else is, especially if the content is kinda specific like your desk organization thing. Honestly I think peak times are oversaturated now, everyone and their mom is posting at noon so the algo just picks whoever has the most followers already. Your 5am test probably got a boost because there was way less competition, and the few people awake were more likely to actually watch and interact since they're not scrolling through a million other posts. Def try a few more random times and see if it holds up, could be a legit hack.

Did you see that article about how the algorithm basically just rewards being different from everyone else?

Oh absolutely, that 3am thing is real. I once posted a photo of my garden shed renovation around 2am on a Tuesday just because I couldn't sleep, and it got more comments than anything I've posted during prime hours in months. The complete lack of competition at those off hours seems to give the algorithm no choice but to surface your content to anybody who's even slightly interested. You're onto something with testing more random times, I've been meaning to do the same.
