The viral dance trend that backfired on our small business

Back in March, my coffee shop tried to jump on that trending 'order at the window' dance challenge to get more TikTok views. It flopped hard because we spent 3 hours filming instead of actually serving customers, and the video got 47 views. Has anyone else felt pressured to chase a trend and regretted the time sink?

god i feel this in my bones. spent a whole saturday once filming a dumb "day in the life" trend for my side hustle and got like 30 views. the worst part was i was so stuck on making it perfect i forgot to actually do any real work. now i just set a timer for 15 minutes max if i want to film something. if it doesn't work in that time i scrap it. nobody cares if your video is perfect anyway, they just want to see real stuff. better to post a quick 30 second clip that actually shows what you do instead of wasting hours on something that tanks.
