The sunset time-lapse I didn't think would blow up
I shot a quick sunset on my phone last Tuesday and posted it as a time-lapse. It hit a million views on TikTok in two days, which was a total shock. I looked into why it took off and found that using the current popular song was a big part. Now I always check what music is trending before I post any video. This small step has made a real difference in how many people see my stuff. What other little changes have helped your posts get noticed?

That music trick works because it taps into what the algorithm already wants to push. But honestly, the real hack is posting when your specific crowd is actually doomscrolling, not just when the general charts say to. Took me forever to notice my cooking clips did way better on Sunday afternoons when people are bored and thinking about dinner, not at 7pm on a Tuesday. It's like timing your knock on a door when someone's already in the hallway.

So you're telling me I should stop posting my sad desk lunch pics at 3am? No wonder my only likes are from bots and my mom.

Yeah the "knocking on the door" thing really clicks. I used to just follow the general best times to post, but tracking when my own people are actually online made a huge difference. Changed my whole view on it.
