That comment from a 14 year old made me rethink my whole content strategy
I was venting to my cousin's kid about how my TikTok about baking hacks only got 200 views. She just looked at me and said 'you gotta make it about the disaster first, then the fix. Nobody cares if it works perfect the first time.' It hit different because she was right - all my stuff was just me showing the final result. Now I'm testing out showing my failed cake from Tuesday before the successful one.

Kinda disagree tbh. That kid's advice works if you're aiming for the "relatable fail" crowd which is fine but it's not the only way. There's a whole market for clean, polished content where people just want to see the final result without the drama. Like those satisfying kitchen accounts or ASMR baking videos - no fails, just zen. Not every audience needs a backstory or a disaster moment. Sometimes people just want to see a perfect cake and feel good.

Yeah exactly. I tried both approaches and the polished stuff just works better sometimes.
