One guy breaks a string with a dramatic pause and boom, 50k retweets, while my 3 paragraph breakdown of why that new pedal sucks gets 4 likes and a bot reply. I swear you could sneeze at the right minute and go viral, or spend hours crafting the perfect post and crickets. It’s like the algorithm has ADHD and we’re all just feeding it snacks until it notices us.

Used to think it was just about effort and timing, like if you posted enough quality stuff you'd eventually get noticed. But then I spent 4 hours putting together a detailed breakdown of why the new Strymon is overhyped and got 12 likes, while my buddy posted a blurry photo of his cat sitting on his pedalboard and hit 2k. Totally shifted my view on how this all works.
