Spent $75 on a trending sound license and it actually paid off

My video with that 'coffee shop jazz' track blew up last month. The license fee felt steep, but it kept the video from getting muted. Anyone else had a sound go from free to paid and been glad they bought it?

Totally! I read this interview with a travel vlogger who said buying the license for that "sunset chill" guitar loop was a lifesaver. His biggest video ever used it, and when the sound went paid, his content stayed up while others got blocked. He said it felt like buying insurance, annoying to pay for but you're so glad when you need it. That story convinced me it's worth it for a sound you know is working.

Yeah, I bit the bullet on a license for that viral lofi beat.

That whole "free to paid" switch is such a gamble. I saw a video from a creator who said buying the license for a trending sound was the only reason their channel didn't get a strike during a big wave of copyright claims. It seems like a tax for trying to keep up with the algorithm. Spending that money upfront must feel awful, but losing all your reach feels worse.
