Shoutout to the guy who swore the '3 second rule' video would hit a million views in a day
Dude from a Facebook group told me to post my kid slipping on a wet floor at exactly 8pm on a Sunday. Said the algorithm loves that window. I laughed it off but tried it anyway. Video hit 1.2 million views by Monday morning. He was right about the timing but I still feel weird about getting lucky like that. Has anyone else had random advice from a stranger actually work out for a post?

...and that's the thing, right? It's like when you hear some random dude at a gas station say you should take a left instead of a right to avoid traffic, and it actually saves you twenty minutes. We've all had that one piece of advice from a complete stranger that just... clicks. Makes you wonder how many times we ignore good advice just because it came from someone we don't know. Your kid's video is proof that sometimes the weirdest hacks work, even if they feel like pure luck.

Oh man, @jamesfox you're so right about that gas station thing. I had a guy at a bus stop once tell me to turn the key in my stalled car twice and pump the gas pedal real slow. I was this close to calling a tow truck, thought he was full of it. But I was desperate, you know? Did exactly what he said and the damn thing started right up. Never saw him again but I still think about that advice every time my car acts up.
