Remember when you had to wait a whole week to see if a post was going to take off?
I was digging through some old forum threads from 2008 last night and it hit me how different things are now. Back then I'd post something and just... wait. Check the stats maybe once a day if I remembered. Now I'm refreshing analytics every 15 minutes after hitting publish on something. When did we all get so impatient? My buddy runs a local bakery Instagram and he said the same thing - he used to just post a photo of his sourdough and move on, now he's timing posts down to the minute and second guessing every hashtag. Is the instant feedback loop actually making us better creators or just more anxious? Has anyone else noticed themselves checking their phone way more than they used to after posting something?

Oh man, "check the stats maybe once a day" really hit home. I used to post on a car forum back in 09 and would literally forget about it for days, now I'm the guy hitting refresh on my phone every 30 seconds after dropping a YouTube video. The instant feedback loop definitely makes me second guess everything way more than just moving on with my day.

Oh man, same here. I used to drop a comment on a forum and not even check back until the next day, now I'm literally refreshing my channel page while I'm supposed to be grading papers. It's like the internet taught me to be impatient without me even noticing.
