Overheard a TikTok creator say she scripts every 3-second moment

I was at a coffee shop in Portland last week and heard this girl explaining to a friend how she writes out every single cut and sound effect for her 15-second videos. She said she spends about 2 hours on a script for a clip that takes her maybe 10 minutes to film. It made me realize I've been just winging it with my own posts and that's probably why they feel messy. Has anyone else tried scripting that thoroughly and actually seen their engagement go up?

Scripting my videos changed everything for me honestly. Started doing it after my views flatlined for a month and now I actually plan out my hook word for word. Took me about a week to get the hang of it but my watch time went up by like 40% once I started writing down every transition. The trick is to keep it loose though or you sound like a robot reading lines. I time my pauses and sound effects in the script too which helps the flow feel natural. Definitely give it a try for like a week and see if you notice a difference.
