Got a comment once telling me my jump cuts were too fast and jarring. Slowed them down and added a quick sound effect on each transition. The difference in watch time was actually insane, like people stopped dropping off after ten seconds.

That "difference in watch time" thing is so real. I had the same problem with my cuts being way too snappy. Slowing them down just a tiny bit and adding a little "whoosh" sound made my videos feel so much smoother, and people actually stuck around.
