Can we talk about that growth hack that backfired on me in a week?

My buddy who runs a 50k follower account told me to use a trending sound and spam hashtags to get views fast. I tried it on my travel video last month and it worked for 2 days, then my reach dropped to zero. Turns out the algorithm flagged me as spam and shadowbanned my account for a week. Has anyone else had a "quick win" tip from a bigger creator totally mess up their stats?

A one week shadowban isn't that bad. Just ride it out.

I knew someone who had this happen to them on a different platform actually. My friend Jenna got a two week shadowban for posting a screenshot of a funny tweet that apparently violated some vague rule.
