Update: I used to think posting at 9 AM was the only way to go, but a chat with a baker in Omaha changed my mind.

Funny how a throwaway line can become the whole point later. Makes you wonder what other jokes we're missing because we don't have the full story yet.

Tell me what the baker said" used to sound like a pointless joke setup to me. I always figured it was just a silly pun waiting to happen. But then I heard the actual full story behind it, the whole context of the conversation. It completely changed how I see the line. It's not just a throwaway gag, it's the key moment that makes the rest of the bit work. I can't hear it now without thinking about that bigger picture.
