Unpopular opinion: Comment pods got me results but left a bad taste...
My engagement was really low, so I joined a comment pod after hearing about them... it worked and my last post got way more attention. I'm stoked about the reach, but all the same-y comments don't feel real at all. Is it wrong to use stuff like this just for the algorithm boost?

My sister's pottery account got flooded with "beautiful glaze work" comments from some group she joined. It made her feed look like a bot convention. Kept the algorithm happy, I guess, but her soul died a little.

Ever think 'beautiful glaze work' comments were okay? Not anymore.

Bot convention" is exactly right. I did a pod once and felt like I was running a spam factory for my own stuff. The numbers looked good but it made replying to comments feel like a chore. I stopped because that fake back and forth just wasn't worth the hollow boost.
