TIL posting at 2pm on a Tuesday got me less reach than 8pm Sunday

I spent months scheduling my art posts for weekday afternoons because every guide said that was peak time. Last month I accidentally posted a sketch at 8pm on a Sunday and it got triple the engagement of anything before. Has anyone else found weird off-peak times actually work better for their specific niche?

Wait, you're telling me I've been waking up at 6am to post my dumb bird photos for nothing? I spent three months posting at 2pm like some kind of robot and got like 12 likes max. Then I posted a blurry pigeon picture at like 11pm on a Wednesday and it got 200 likes overnight. Now I just post whenever I'm half asleep and drunk and somehow that's what my audience wants. Feels like the algorithm is just messing with us at this point.
