That viral time-of-day trick nearly nuked my reach last week
I saw a Twitter thread saying post at 6am sharp, every platform, no exceptions. Skeptical me tested it for 5 days straight. My engagement tanked harder than a pine tree in a windstorm, especially on Instagram. Then I checked my actual analytics and saw my audience peaks at 9:30pm Tuesday, not morning. The generic advice works if you're a generic account, but my tree service page clearly isn't. Anyone else have a 'surefire' tip backfire when you tried it?

9:30pm Tuesday" as your peak time is wild, most people I follow swear by mornings but their audiences are totally different from a tree service page. I tried a similar "post at sunrise" hack for my own stuff and got crickets, but when I went back to my late night schedule things picked right back up. Generic advice like that just ignores that real people scroll at weird times, so trusting your own numbers over some viral thread is the only move that makes sense.
