Showerthought: I spent 2 years posting at 9am because a blog from 2016 said so, then saw my own stats
I used to schedule everything for 9am on the dot because some post I read back in the day said that was peak time. Never questioned it once. Then last month I was bored at work and actually opened my insights tab for the first time in forever, and my best performing stuff was all going up around 6pm on weekdays. Turns out my friends and followers are night people like me, not morning commuters. Two years of shouting into an empty room at breakfast. I felt so dumb. I switched my last 8 posts to evening and 5 of them beat my old average by a lot, one got like 3x the views. So yeah, stop trusting old advice and go check your own numbers. What time did your own stats surprise you with?
