Showerthought: I found a stat that made me question the 'post at peak times' advice

A report from Buffer showed my niche's peak engagement actually happens at 2 AM local time, which is the opposite of everything I've read. Has anyone else found their best times are totally counter-intuitive?

Yeah, the whole peak time thing feels like a horoscope for social media managers. My best posts go live when I'm asleep and should be offline, which honestly tracks for how my year is going. Guess we're all just guessing until the algorithm tells us otherwise.

Sounds about right for how these things usually go.

Buffer's data from last year showed my top performing tweet went out at 11 PM on a Sunday. It completely blew up while I was watching a movie. Fiona's right, it's all just a big guess. The real trick is posting a lot and seeing what sticks, not trying to time some magic window that probably doesn't exist for your specific followers. All that old advice was for a time when feeds were chronological, and that world is gone. Now you're just hoping the algorithm picks your post to show people whenever they finally open the app.
