My sister said she ignores posts that have more than 3 hashtags and now I see them everywhere
She scrolls past anything with a wall of tags at the bottom (said it looks like spam), and since she told me that on Sunday I've been noticing the posts that actually pop off in my feed use two or three max, so has anyone else tested cutting down their tags and seen a real change in who sees their stuff?
Doubt the tags are what's really doing it honestly. Two or three tags looks cleaner but I bet the posts popping off are just better posts, or the accounts already had a following. Your sister skipping stuff with a big tag pile is one person's habit, not some rule the whole app follows. I tested going from like ten tags down to two for a month and my reach barely moved. The thing that actually changed who saw my stuff was posting at different times and replying to comments faster, not the tag count.
