My friend kept telling me to post carousel slides, but I thought they were just a fad.
I made a simple 5 slide post about my morning routine last Tuesday, and it got 3 times more saves than my usual pictures. I guess people really do like to swipe. What's one thing you all thought was dumb that actually worked?

Last year I swore I would never make a video talking to the camera in my car. It felt so staged. I finally tried it last month when my truck broke down, just explaining the weird noise it made. That video got shared more than any pro tip I've ever posted. You're right, we all act too cool for the basic stuff that actually helps people.

Yeah, it's the same with those "day in my life" videos. I thought they were just boring oversharing, but I watched one from a carpenter and learned three actual useful tips in five minutes. The internet keeps proving that simple, step by step stuff just works. We all pretend to want the fancy edited highlight reel, but really we just want to see how other people make their coffee and fix a wobbly table.
