Just tried posting at 6am on a Tuesday and my engagement tanked 40%
I saw all these tips saying early morning is the golden hour for reach, so I set an alarm for 6am last Tuesday and dropped my post. My usual 2pm posts get around 200 likes, but that one got 120 and barely any comments. Is morning actually dead for people with office jobs?

Oh man, that 6am thing is a total myth for most of us. I tried it once after reading some guru's advice, set my alarm, posted a photo of my coffee and my cat, and got like 10 likes total. My usual posts get way more than that. I swear the only people awake at 6am are bots and maybe some moms who already had their third cup of coffee. By 2pm, people at work are on their phones during lunch or just zoning out, so that's why you get better numbers. I don't think there's a real golden hour anymore, it's all just random luck half the time.

Girl same. I tried 7am for a week straight and my best post was a blurry pic of my dog that got 15 likes, meanwhile my 8pm posts randomly hit 200.
