Just caught myself doing the same dumb post strategy for 8 months straight
Checked my analytics last night and saw I was just recycling the same hashtag sets every time. A friend in the comments asked why my reach dropped after 3 posts and that's when it hit me.

I mean, "recycling the same hashtag sets" - maybe those were just good hashtags that worked for you? If they were working at first, the problem probably wasn't the hashtags themselves but something else changing in your content or the algorithm.

Honestly, I think people make hashtags way too big of a deal. I mean sure, I've reused some hashtags before and my reach still fluctuated all over the place no matter what I tried. Like one week I'd get 500 views with a random tag set, next week the same tags would get me 12. It's probably more about the algorithm deciding who to show your stuff to that day than your specific tag choices.
