I stopped posting at peak times and my engagement went up 40%
For like 2 years I scheduled everything for 6pm because that's when I thought everyone was scrolling. Then I started tracking my actual audience insights, turned out most of my followers were active around 9am on Wednesdays and Fridays. I tested it for 3 weeks, posting at 9am instead, and my reach jumped from around 800 to over 1,200 per post. It's not just about when you post though, I also stopped chasing trending hashtags and stuck to 3 niche ones that actually match my content. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has seen better results from posting at weird off hours like 11pm or something, or is that just me getting lucky with my niche?

Had a buddy who ran a small book review page and he swore by posting at 2am on Sundays, said it felt like a secret club for night owls. He tested it for a month and his comments tripled because there was zero competition in his feed. Maybe the real trick is just finding the pocket of time where your people are actually bored enough to engage.
