I dropped $150 on a 'viral audio' subscription and it either tanked my reach or saved my butt, depending on who you ask.

My buddy says paying for trending sounds is a waste because the algorithm favors original audio, but my views doubled for a week after using a clip from that service.

Honestly that's the gamble with all that stuff. Your buddy has a point about original audio, but a viral sound is like a cheat code for a quick boost. Saw a local bakery use that "oh no" song on a cake fail video and it blew up. The trick is not to lean on it forever. Did the views stay up after that week or did it drop off?
